Representative Director, General Incorporated Association Shironishi

Aridagawa Town in Wakayama Prefecture is known for its rich natural landscapes, including Aragi Island and Oishi Plateau, and takes pride in agricultural products like mandarin oranges and Japanese pepper.

In the Futakawa area, we've been operating Shironishi since June 2023, a relocation and employment support facility housed in a former elementary school.

For visitors from outside the region, we offer various programs centered on three themes: learning about the community, engaging with it, and living in it.

Coworking Space Hanairo

We grow specialty vegetables on our farm in Kinokawa City while operating Hanasai, a coworking space in a 150-year-old traditional house. After 21 years in corporate life, Nakaoka turned to farming, driven by a desire to recreate the exceptional tomatoes his late mother once grew.

We cultivate diverse vegetables using circular farming methods that blend traditional techniques with modern technology.

Nakashio manages our reservation-only cafe, preparing dishes with freshly harvested produce. Our motto is to serve food with smiles and joy, bringing you the delicious taste of just-picked vegetables and hands-on farming experiences!
